I had a lovely evening with my friend Mason Robbie - visiting from Mobile, Alabama. His partner Jack(son) Rowe and I have been chat buddies for years - so it's very nice to meet the man that has made Jack so very happy. We had dinner here at the muffin penthouse - played with Miss Kate - then we got in the Mini and ran out across the Golden Gate bridge - and to the ocean at Rodeo Cove.
It was pitch black out - despite a big full moon - and walking across the gangplank out to the dunes and Rodeo Beach - hanging off the side of the bridge was a HUMONGOUS very put out raccoon. We didn't see him till literally he and Miss Kate were inches from one another. She let out a very low single bark "Don't fuck with me and the Muffin, Mister" - and the Racoon hissed back very loudly, "This is my turf during the night - thank you for leaving." Which - we did. When we got back in the car - a companion raccoon walked past the car and joined our buddy out on the bridge. Looking back occasionally like a gangster confirming what Big Al was saying on the bridge "You'd best be going now." It was at once thrilling and at the same time pretty jolting. I'd never heard Miss Kate make such a defensive low bark before. and the raccoon was NOT happy.
All that drama over though - we scooted back across the bridge and I dropped Mason at his hotel. :) Mason had never ridden in a Mini and had a great time. It was warm enough out to have the top open and the windows down; which of course Miss Kate loved too! What a lovely evening! He's in town till Friday - so we may try to hit the MOMA on my lunchbreak on Thursday - and perhaps see each other again that evening.

And here's part of the paragraph from the blog writers:
"There's something so amusing about the expression on the sweet dog's face. It says, "Sigh." It says, "Don't even start. You don't even know."
And that is nearly Miss Kate in this photo! Only she's saying "Back off my seat, and make haste doing it. Management thanks you."
