Billboard for the "Angry Whopper" at Castro Station

nope - I don't find this idea at all appetizing. I wonder though - what would be on the Passive/Aggressive Whopper or the In Denial Whopper or the Manic Depressive Whopper .

Whoppers are already about denial -- ignoring the fat, the environmental issues with cows and beef, the low wages of employees, etc etc etc.

I was just saying the same thing to my hubby last night. Interesting marketing idea. "Try this, it will try to kill you". But didn't BK also have a series of black and white ads of people saying that they were really surprised BK was any good?

I'm thinking that the Angry Whopper ought to involve really hot peppers for some strange reason.

"Flavor you'll burn for"

I've thought this was a complete WTF marketing mistake since I first saw it. I'd never buy anything like that, even though we do eat Whoppers now and again!

I had a non-angry Whopper a week ago, and I think I can say that I'll never be back to BK. Honestly, it made McD's look -- and feel -- like health food. It was one of those times when I wish I had one of those "quick eject" GI systems. I don't think it will ever leave my system.

This is definitely something they should market down South. I can see it selling really well in Tejas, but here...no.

Checker's (don't know if you have them there...fast food chain) has been advertising their "Chicken Screamers". Forced with an option between the two, I'd choose that pissed off Whopper.

Did you LOOK at that burger? You'd be angry too. Maybe they should call it the Grim Reaper Burger!

Joe and I saw an ad for the ANGRY WHOPPER when we were in Norway last September:

Norwegian Angry Whopper

We thought it particularly wonderful because it demands, "CAN YOU HANDLE THE ANGRY?!" Goodness, I'm not entirely sure I can.

Perhaps the poor Whopper is misunderstood and needs a willing ear and a soft shoulder.

The satellite television thingy here, Sky TV, has a "Friend Get Friend" deal--if you get a friend to sign up, you both get $50 off your first bill, blah blah blah.

It's TV, so this thing has a long commercial. And do you have any idea of the film they chose as the backdrop for the announcer's explanation of "Friend Get Friend?"

THELMA AND LOUISE!!! WTF?! "Friend get friend--to drive off a cliff!"

I cringe every time it's on.

Hoody and I went to Burger Thing Saturday and I had one. Pretty rich for BK standards, but hot? Naw.
