[livejournal.com profile] bukephalus turned me onto this - and I've been listening to it on or off all day long...

here is the beautiful "mad men" inspired video to "The End of the World" by Matt Alber

He's seriously like Rufus Wainwright and is a former soprano with Chanticleer. I like this album - but most of it won't ever find airplay but places like LOGO videos or remixes on gay radio stations. His voice sparkles and his diction is frighteningly clear. He's a tenor - they are like that. :)

I like the video.

I really like his voice.

I don't care much for the song, but again, his voice is lovely.

He sings much better than Rufus, who I don't care for.

And yes, tenors are like that:)

You must know different tenors than I do.

But you're right about this one.

I just got his CD from Amazon yesterday. For some reason his album is $11.99 on iTunes and the real album shipped from Memphis is only $13.99. The music is lovely and sort of wistful.

Thank you and [livejournal.com profile] bukephalus both for sharing this.

I've just sat here and cried watching it.

*sniff* (This flu has left me emotionally vulnerable.)

Just bought it from Amazon digital store. iTunes didn't offer it without DRM, so they lost a sale. DO YOU HEAR THAT, ITUNES?!?
