(chortle) I find myself humming 'Good Morning Baltimore' this morning while I have been getting out my suit and tie and getting ready for my first day on campus at Stanford. Olive shirt with a green Jerry Garcia tie (ya'll might see a theme developing there); and tan slacks that are my favorite pair - a nice tweedy pattern old fashioned but with a nice modern cut. and my redbrown leather shoes.

I'm not due till 930am this morning - presumably because someone (okay, who did it?) warned them I'm a morning person and I'm sure they want at least one cup of coffee before Hurricane Muffin blows in.

I'm totally prepared for a week of brain dumps and eight or nine hundred people explaining what they would like to see on the web. Armed with my pen, my man-planner, and a sense of humor - I think it'll go real well.

and topping all the excitement off - Dave left a note on my keyboard to wake him up in time to drive me to my first day of school.
