vacation day two - wading in the gulf of mexico, not a McRib in site (so far)

We started off the day with brunch with Jordan, Drew, David, Darrel, Julia, David and I - we ended up due to kitchen fires at our first location at "BerryHill" - a taco bellish mexican place with brunch items. (chortle) We had a great time - David and Darrell then beat feet back to Shreveport, Julia and Jordan headed home - and we picked up Drew's friend Mark who joined us on a day trip to Galveston. The water was warm - and poor planning on my part - I hadn't thought of being able to swim in the ocean in October - so I only go to wade in the ocean vs. swim. It was a gorgeous day and we got back into the city about an hour ago - and we hit a barbeque place - where we all had platters the size of a table for dinner. (and the mascot of hte restaurant was a sequined armadillo (only in texas right?). So - right now - we're reading/LJing and stopping. another enjoyable day on vacation. Tomorrow morning we go into see Drew's office - then we fly to Washington DC to spend the rest of the week there. :)

Dave and I have had a marvelous time here in Houston - and have really appreciated Drew's hospitality and meeting all of his friends.

I was enjoying the warm water and the sun... YAY!
