not quite according to plan... but.....

okay - dinner tongiht - didn't quite go off as planned - thankfully - I was cooking for three of my most favorite people - so that it didn't quite turn out as planned - simply didn't/doesn't matter. The sorbet was perfect - the turkey skewers devine. But - the spinach - I didn't get near enough - it cooked down to almost nothing. (sigh) I will remember next time - for sure - as the taste and flavor was SPOT on - but - well the portions not so much. We put icebergs of the youngberry sorbet in the mango prosecco fizzy drinks... it was wonderful. and then Paully (kiltybear of cliff's fame) brought a german chocolate cake. which we all HATED - so we had to eat it - to save the world from savage chocolate. Then we settled back - and watched Ratatouille - (sp?) - laughed and laughed and laughed. It was a great time - we all took Miss Kate for a walk afterwards and did little huggykissyhuggy and then they were all off - and now Miss Kate (exhausted from having all of her favorite men in one place) (well, she still miss Lance (lj user="althrman") but he never writes - he never calls. oi! whats a girl to do) anyhow - she's asleep next to me - chasing squirrels and kicking in her sleep. and I'm about asleep myself.
Worked a full day at the book store BEFORE coming home to all this activity - so I'm whupped.
