day two in new orleans
Feb. 15th, 2008 05:06 pmthe humidity creeped in like a blanket here today. overnight hte humidity went from 10% to 80%. It's overcast and somewhat sticky. Since the boys worked yesterday - we had a lazy morning and ended up at "Cake Cafe" for breakfast (http://www.nolacakes.com) of andoiulle sausage and sage gravy with biscuits. Yum! While the boys got their rental ready for guests - I took a long shower. these boys - slowly buildling their house back from Katrina - started with a stone floored amazing shower with natural light and a HUGE prolly 40" rain shower shower head. It's truly the most extravagant shower I've ever taken. Makes me think of figuring out how to pull the same thing off at home. its soooooo relaxing. We then took a car tour of the city - driving through City Park. We discovered that the New Orleans Museum is showing "Blue Winds Dancing: The Whitecloud Collection of Native American Art" which we've agreed is on this weekend's agenda.
