I had such a great weekend..... after taking Jeff and David by the apartment yesterday - - David and I came back to the Waller St. Apt. for a bit - and I sorted clothes. (aka THE GREAT CLOTHING PURGE OF 2008) all the XL shirts and (gasp) XXL shirts were taken ot the thrift store never to billow in my closet again. (I still have a stack of denim owed to
intooutdoors and
musicbearmn from back at the holidays, sorry guys!) but - now I'm down to a reasonable sized clothing juggernaut. After TGCPO'08 - David and I met up with the Michaels (the good Michael
bibliocub and Just Michael
sfleatherbear (who is simply the furriest yummiest creature!) and their doggies Shadow and Kacey. We hit up Glen Park Canyon and had a laughing ball talking and adventuring with the dogs. Then David and I came back here to soak in palmolive before meeting the good Michael for dinner at Home.
Last night was drunken lesbian night (according to the waiter) as we were seated between two big tables of shot drinking loud ladies. David had the Pot Roast (but was unimpressed "Pot roast should come with vegetables!") One of the most adorable things about David is how he just pronounces things like "I despise bananas!" and "I'm ready for a bite of your chicken now!". Michael had the fabulous meatloaf and I had the 1/2 a baked chicken (w/o skin). but I get ahead of myself - first we started with a plate of "deep-fried brussel sprouts". I kid you not! Battered and deep-fried brussel sprouts. They were yummy - honestly - but the whole time I was like "omg they deep fried brussel sprouts" - but it definitely was interesting. THEN - we shared the "dessert trio" - three scoops of homemade sorbet (pineapple, strawberry and blackberry), chocolate cake and a cherry/peach cobbler. It was decadent and we ate ALL OF IT. (scared that drunken lesbians fromt he table next to us would want some)
THen last night we came back to the somewhat packed up house and watched "Brazil!" by Terry Gilliam. WHACKED3! then David and I had a nice night's sleep. Okay - thing I find adorable about David #9493943 - is that we sleep intertwined and always in each others arms. Romantic Factor GAZILLION! He and I woke up early this morning and had a nice chat about the new apartment - and how excited he is for me. (David isn't quite the verbose emoterama that I am. well - not that anyone is actually.) Then we went and had the breakfast yogurt parfait at the Duboce Park Cafe - and it was lovely. Fresh seasonal mango and sweet apples. Major Yummyness!
David and I came back here and wrapped dishes and glasses and got me mostly finished packing. All that's left is the computer - the bed and clothes. I'll get to that as the weeknights come along. then Next Saturday -is the big move. :) I am so excited.
What is making it all feel so good these days is some really great positive friends in my life that are just daily reminding me how lucky I am. and I know -t hat sounds like a load of sugary nonsense but... its true!
It seems that I'm revitalizing long time friendships, starting a wonderful relationship with David, and brought on a few real gems into my life in the last few months. The people that surround me are so honest, supportive, loveable and wonderful. It really makes the biggest difference when you surround yourself with positive thinkers. :) Yay!3
