(friends are forever) new act II
Aug. 20th, 2008 08:11 amSo - last night at the theater we rehearsed and blocked the newly restructured and trimmed Act 2. It was a long night - getting home at 1115pm. By the time I had Katey walked and calmed down (a tenacious game of tug-o-war ensued!) it was 1am before I got to bed. So no gym for me this morning...
Tonight at 530pm? the production photo shoot for photographs to give the press for reviews. Tonight at 630pm? Run Scene 10 and 12 (the ones with the largest revisions) with the actor that was not at rehearsal last evening... yikes. 8pm - fourth preview audience. 10pm - show over. and in bed as soon as possible.
Another preview Thursday - then the Press Preview on Friday - then finally - - - the big opening night gala on Saturday evening.
The affect on my at-work life by the play has people noticing that I'm not a high energy as I usually am - one person stopping me in the hall yesterday asking me if I was okay - that I wasn't laughing as much lately. That's a sad byproduct of burning the candle - - my energy/presence at the office has taken a hit. I'm still producing good work - and making things hum as I always do - just not at Warp 90 like people are used to. I hope that the play going into production combined with Labor Day Weekend coming up; that I'll be able to catch up on my rest and get back to spiff.
The constant go go go - has also resulted in a few pounds lost - I weighed in this morning at 174. I won't sustain that - as that's well - 6 pounds less than where I've been sustaining my weight. Perhaps I need a big steak dinner in the works somewhere - yes. A big juicy steak - that ought-a do the trick. :)
