San Francisco Zoo
Sep. 1st, 2008 08:55 pmFour photos from our trip to the San Francisco Zoo today.
I kept making references to how - we could buck the bear moniker and become "loving lemurs" or "groping gorillas" or "cuddley cinnamon bears" or "rutting rhinos" - and he rolled his eyes and said "Perhaps coming to the zoo wasn't such a great idea after all...." LOL!
HOT PENGUIN FEEDER
David got totally googley-eyed over this penguin feeder - taking nearly 20 pictures of him feeding penguins. He quickly turned it around with "he's cute - but I am going home with my big strong musclebear boyfriend". Good save!

GPS TOUR GADGET
Here I am holding up our "Zoo Pass GPS Tourguide" - as you walk through the park - you walk up to exhibits and it lights up with video and a behind the scenes tour of the area you are walking in - it was a very cool little device. I'm glad we did it. Going to places like this with David is so much fun because even with a PhD - this man is a sponge for knowledge - he wanted to find every animal and learn where they are from - what they like to eat. :)

GRIZZLIES!
Here are two shots of the two grizzly bear sisters at the zoo. So adorable!

and my favorite animals - THE GIRAFFES!

These are the two "foals" were have been born at the zoo... they were hanging out together - being real affectionate. It was really cute! They got fed "Giraffe Chow" by the zoo staff. SUPER cute!
