verbailizing minutiae
Jan. 7th, 2009 12:00 pmI am feeling so much better today! but I won't over do it - less I slide backwards. Nyquil is a miracle product - I've slept 9-10 hours the last three nights and that is helping battle back the cold a great deal.
This is the first winter in a real long time that the length of the darkness at night is starting to bother me. I am growing weary of getting up in the dark and spending evenings in the dark. Spring can't come soon enough. (I realize we're barely a month into winter, but still...)
Heading to the audition clinic for the SFGMC tonight - in prep for my audition on Friday at 8pm.

Dealt with kneejerk - omgtheskyisfalling reactions today at work when a web application wasn't available for a six and a half minute window. It's a sales app - and in the downtime people started writing allstaff emails screaming about it being down - and people trying to email files back and forth manually because the application was down - and "how will we work without this application?" - and nobody thought to email the Web Director - or ask about the app and when it might be back up. It took me 30 seconds to fix the problem - followed by another flurry of "It's back up" emails from the people complaining - followed by a flurry of "I don't know what your problem is I can get into it emails" from people who didn't experience any downtime and were calling the people that experienced downtime computer illiterate. All the while - a few concerned salespeople lined up at my door to tell me the app was down - and when could they get an ETA. Lets just say that they are all lucky a tazer-style weapon was not available for my use.
Had the last of the Tijuana Pie leftovers for lunch today. Major Yummyness!
oh - and...I keep working out - and I'm losing on the sides of the tummy, but my shoulders and arms are not proceeding fast enough for me! (curse you muscles! Grow! GROW!)

why - who knows? that is why it is called minutiae.
