Dining Out For Life

I would like to invite you to support STOP AIDS Project by dining out on Thursday, April 30th. I am a volunteer ambassador for Dining Out for Life 2009, which benefits STOP AIDS Project. Over 115 restaurants in San Francisco are participating on Thursday April 30th and donating 25% of food (and alcohol) sales to the STOP AIDS project.

I will be the ambassador at SAUCE in San Francisco where 25% of your food and alcohol bill will benefit the HIV Prevention programs of the STOP AIDS Project.
SauceSF has a terrific menu and an amazing wine list.

It's my job to fill that restaurant and I could definitely use your help. I know that money is tight these days but the great thing about the event is that all you have to do is just eat out and the restaurant makes the donation. You're probably going to eat out sometime in late April, why not do it on a night that you can help make a difference in the fight against the spread of HIV.

Last year Dining Out for Life raised over $210,000 thanks to people like you. This year promises to be even bigger but we can't do it without your help. I will be there between 5:30-10:00pm so you can come in anytime! Just call the restaurant (415-252-1369) to make your reservation!! And be sure to help spread the word to everyone that you know about this year's event.

Magazine Time!

Okay - as you know - once a quarter or so - I do a "lets put you on the cover" of a magazine on my blog.

now I'm ready to take on something a little more americana - something with an earthy butchness to it. (no - not fisting quarterly!)

I'd like to do a version of CAR & DRIVER:



First I need a title for our little automotive mag - and then pictures of ya'll with your cars. Don't drive? with your bicycle? don't own a bike? riding what ever you can get around on..... but - the theme being our relationships with our cars.

so - ideas for a title? _____________________ and __________________________ ?

once we get the title settled - I'll create the first couple of issues and we'll do an open call for a week or two and start crankin' out the covers.

so... what'll it be?
