wow. what a day. didn't stop for a MINUTE. Early morning walk with Miss Kate, run to the grocery to buy supplies for the dinner party, get home - get the crock part started on dinner (Shannon Adamson
jodfoster chicken, more on that later) - then a 22 mile bike ride around the peninsula - home, shower and off to Scott Farrar's
nanocub's birthday - which was OUT OF CONTROL fun - and then home to get dinner finished - and get appetizers made (including candied walnuts and this AMAZING red pepper hummus
RECIPE!) and well we served the stewed chicken and mushrooms over egg noodles with fresh tyhme. it was OUT OF THIS WORLD! Our dinner party was amazing - guests arrived at 6pm - dinner at 630pm - dessert at 8. Six bottles of various wine and two bottles of champagne later - Dave and I are done with cleanup and reading emails and LJ by 1045pm. Literally - I could not have packed more into today if I wanted to. It was hands down full of the most happy I've experienced in a very very long time.
