Mar. 20th, 2010 04:44 pmEver wonder what the difference between feta cheese and goat cheese is? While many people refer to feta as a goat cheese, feta actually has a higher sheep's milk content than goats' milk content. According to the regulations surrounding the official name 'feta', no more than 30% of a feta cheese's milk can come from goats; at least 70% of the milk has to be sheep's milk. If a feta cheese has more than 30% goats' milk in it, it is not, officially speaking, a feta cheese.

Apparently we've been violating the building CC&R's using a charcoal grille. So he's been waiting for me to say "lets BBQ to a) announce how I've been violating building rules with the charcoal grille, b) produce pages of research into the best evaluated grilles - then decide on the spot he's going to get the Perfect Grilletm.
The magical moment arrived today when I suggested barbecuing hamburgers....
So he picked up a Weber Q300 - and put it together just in time for our friends Chris and Ranelle to show up! He's such a sweetheart! And the burgers were amazing. (Brioche burger buns - they are the AWESOME!!)

I know you are supposed to take a picture BEFORE you take a bite but they were so good! Cheddar and tomato burgers, german potato salad, cornonthecob and ginger sesame fruit salad
and Chris and Ranelle topped off the evening with a delicious pecan pie!
