I did not audition for the YouTube Food Network Star Competition...

in the end - it was competing interests.... while on vacation I was trading links and portfolios pieces madly with the folks at Stanford -- and honestly - a forward move in my career took precedence.

So - despite the work on the new HD Bob's Kitchen (which I totally love!) -- entering a competition as a cook will have to be put on the back burner. The time to submit the video wasn't the only concern - it was promoting it through the voting stage; and letting the contest take over my life at such a busy time where I have to be laser focused on career.

There are over 100 hundred people who did submit videos - - and I'm sure someone fun will win.

There will be other opportunities. :)
