I have seen the enemy - and it is the little white overwhelmingly fragrant flowers of stinky-bush. Every spring it blooms and it is the nemesis. Not only am I allergic to the scent - but Miss Kate is plaqued by it.
The smell is so overwhelming and pungent - that Miss Kate will literally stop in her tracks and look up at me as if to say "all I ask is that I can go on sniff patrol - and this plant is all I can smell - make it stop".
Due to the wierd cooler weather we've experienced this year (remember readers, global warming and climate change is a liberal myth) - - Stinky bush is now in it's third full bloom of Spring/Summer. It's very popular as a hedge - some people trimming their stinky bush up into immense brutally fragrant stinky WALLS of this vile white flower.
Honestly - I think it will be blooming all summer this year - instead of frying in the warm hot summer sun and dying like it's supposed to.
DIE PLANT DIE!Miss Kate is not amused - and neither are my sensitive, delicate sinuses.
The plant is actually called "Star Jasmine" or "Confederate Jasmine" - whatever it's called, its stinky!
