There is an old Cherokee Legend that tells of a Chief talking with his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, "My son, the battle is between two "wolves" inside us all. One is Evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego. The other is Good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith."

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather:
"Which wolf wins?"

The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed."

Came home to a message from Stanford asking to move my start date to the 16th - they simply couldn't get equipment installed and access accomplished for a Monday start. So I will have next week off - I forsee a week of great gym workouts; long bike rides; serious park time with Miss Kate and some rest and relaxation. oh - and sleeping in snuggling onto Dave every morning. YAY!3 What a nice gift on top of everything else.
