Launching Saint Judes.....
Aug. 21st, 2010 07:31 amUp early on a Saturday - - we're launching our first Two Creative Guys client today! Our first client is the Saint Jude's Homeless Veterans Resource Center in Kissimee, Florida. They asked for an 11am video call to get trained on Wordpress and the lay out of their new site. and I said WOOHOO LETS GO - without doing the time difference in my head. So I'm up caffeinating and about to step into the beauty chamber for my daily transformation into well - moi! (Don't hate because I'm beautiful - there are SO many other reasons!)
St Judes came to us with this site: Mhttp://www.stjudesveteranscenter.org
They requested a logo design, a simliar theme but something with more wow factor; so patriotic without resorting to clip art. and ways to promote stories of the veterans they work with and to get people interested in donating and seeing the real difference they make.
The new site - we built in Wordpress - so that the staff at St. Judes can update their site like a Word Document. GoDaddy offers a nonprofit rate - and it's turned out pretty spiffy. Darrell - my TwoCreativeGuys cohort in Fort Worth - did all the graphics and I worked on making Wordpress pull off all the things they wanted - the jquery flipper, the expanded navigation (with dropdowns) and made sure the site was streamlined and coded right.
so the new site is at http://wp.stjudesveteranscenter.org - and I'm very proud of it.
So this morning we'll be training them how to maintain this new platform and then moving the wordpress site to the main domain.
Our first client! SUPER YAY!
