testing the new commute and other topics

Heading out in a bit on ze'tenspeed to test the new commute to the office and explore campus in the glorious morning sunshine. Then back here for breakfast then right back out for a puppy plate date. One of our friends brought home a new puppy and we're going to take Miss Kate over to meet a new pal. (will take a camera) then we're meeting our friend Mark for a stroll through the Cantor Art Museum on Stanford's campus - - then back here to make dinner and film a new Bob's Kitchen Episode! (#29)

I get that my esoteric minutiae is not for everyone

Several people have commented recently that I gush too much about Dave on my LJ; gush too much about my book and writing on my LJ; are sick of hearing about the new job on my LJ; and sick of hearing about my dog and her playmates on LJ. One reader decided that it as patently impossible for someone to always be as upbeat and happy as I write about being.

Ya know - I just write whats going on in my life - with the occasional stop to think and write something longer. I know that people have been unemployed for long periods. I know that people have been single and hoping for a relationship for long periods. I know (as hard as it to believe) that Miss Kate doesn't charm everyone who meets her. Life is like that. This is my life! :) I tried to respond to the couple of notes of "enough with {insert subject here} on your journal" with compassion and understanding. Everyone is entitled to a good thoughtful response ---- and it's true I do tend to approach the world like a big bearded pompom cheerledar - - and believe it or not - I really am happy all the time and my journal is not censored or crafted in any way other than talking about how it is.

If my gushy, loveydovey, worky, artsy, constantly cooking stuff is too much for you -- you can perhaps take a break by defriending me or adding me to that special filter in LJ. but honestly - I'm not going to change anytime soon. and completely understand that my esoteric minutiae is not for everyone. I like journaling and interacting with folks - I learn a lot here on LJ - and get exposed to art, food, history, cooking, music - - all sorts of things i'd never know or be exposed to otherwise.
