White House and the U.S. Congress

David and I will spend election day touring the White House and the U.S. Congress. Very exciting!

it's a chilly morning here in Washington DC - their first "serious frost" overnight. so we're all bundled up to go meet Jim and Joseph post-voting for coffee; and a train ride into the city. We'll breakfast then meet with the Obamas at their place afterwards. (wink)

I'm so excited to be back here in the DC area.

Washington DC Day Two: Unplanned News, Sculpture, Sappyness

I got to the front of the line to tour the white house only to realize that our tours were scheduled for Wednesday the 3rd. (sigh) so we ended up touring the Newseum - and the mall and sculpture garden. Then we met David's friend Kieth for dinner - and it made for a 13 hour day. (sigh) I'll post pictures once I get them downloaded.... it was an awesome day.

10am White House tomorrow - 1pm Congress tomorrow - then I'm cooking dinner for Brian, Michael, Jim, Joseph and Dave tomorrow. Awesome. (curry vegetable turnovers and nicoise salads)
