Kateydog's 8th birthday

thoreauToday was Kateydog's 8th birthday - she is back to being energetic and even BARKED when I brought her home from a walk. We got to the vet - and we're goign to start her again slowly on food starting in the AM. She's had water this evening - and kept it down. I asked to doc to keep her on anti nausea meds through the 10 day of bland diet - - because I'd like to see her keep down as best she can. She's snoring on the couch next to me - but I know she's eager to get a bowl of rice and cottage cheese in the AM. I will be glad to see her getting back to normal. The doctor said all indications were - that she's ready. He gave her a full bill - on the condition that she keeps the food down the next couple of days. Rice and cottage cheese for 5 days - then i can add small amounts of dog kibble after that - at 10 days - kibble with rice - and at 15 days - back to normal kibble. I know Miss Kate is really looking forward to all this. She's been a REAL sport.
