wowsers, quite the night and party in Bob's Kitchen.

Chicken Korma (an Indian chicken dish with a cream sauce with cloves, cinnamon, cardomon and others yummyness) with farmers market fresh pineapple over Bazmati Rice, Caramelized Summer Squash and Oyster Mushrooms, Yogurt Cucumber Salad, and Oven-Roasted Red Peppers with Goat Cheese.

It was my first foray into Indian cooking - and was a Mr. P challenge - but he couldn't be here tonight. As with all 'first runs' - - I learned what I might do better next time so my 'korma-skills' will only improve. :) but - the crew here - loved it!

I ended up with seven of us for dinner - (boy do I miss having a dishwasher!) - Miss Kate and I had a lovely time entertaining. The crew (including the charming [livejournal.com profile] sfmini) had a wonderful evening sharing stories, adoring the dogs - and enjoying some (if I do say so myself) great food.

My friend Dwight brought a Lemon Meringue pie which we served with a trio of sorbets (fresh homemade lemon - and HaagenDaaz Raspberry and HaagenDaaz Mango).

Everything was most wonderful!

Steve ([livejournal.com profile] sfmini), Dwight, Barbara, Paully, and my neighbors Mike and Mike. (all nonlj!) - taken hastily with the timer.

A delightful and memorable evening. The host, the food, the other guests and the puppy playhouse. Thank you so much.

I love korma. I used to marinate the beef in yogourt for half an hour, which makes it tender, and then start cooking and adding spices and vegetables and then at some point when it's a nice stew, add more yogourt. Served with mango raita, it was most yummy. I haven't made it in awhile so time to do it again.

Indian Food isn't one of my favorites... Of course maybe if I'd eat more of it, I'd find more things that I like. Seriously, there is a nice indian place on the street and despite griping about it before hand, was pleasantly surprised. I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food.

Oh....my...... GOD!

Hey gorgeous!

I'm posting a comment in here to this entry of yours, because DWIGHT is there! You know DWIGHT!!!!!!

I started talking to Dwight probably about 6 years ago on ICUii or ISPQ, and have exchanged e-mails, and even chatted on the phone! I knew he had moved to SFO, but I didn't know that he knew YOU - or vice versa!

You will SOOOOOO have to say "Hello" to him for me, and give him a great big hug from me!

I would say Thank God for iChat too - if I had a Mac! *sob*

Oh, I hope he remembers me when you say "hello" to him from me! Thank you!
