On my desk at the office is an Emerson quote nicely framed and front and center. It's often the first impression people have of me in the professional setting. It's a qoute that often gets discussed and is a good launching point for good discussion.

"Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could.
Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can.
Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be
encumbered with your old nonsense."

It was sent to me by Connor three and a half years ago.

He's a very special man - and today is his birthday. He's one of those unique guys that hits life with a verve I've never seen matched.
