Just in time for Christmas - I have a new shipment of my novel in at Books Inc. on Market Street. It's in paperback - and I have 15 new copies at the bookstore!

If you are not in San Francisco? Prefer a hardback copy instead of a paperback? You can order it online at Barnes and Nobles by clicking here still in time for shipping around the holidays.

In other House of Wolves news - I'm really, really close to the 900 copies sold mark since the novel arrived in May.

Roy ([livejournal.com profile] kroyd) wrote a very generous, nice review of House of Wolves at Barnes and Noble. If you've read House of Wolves and would like to take the time to fill in a review? I'd love you for it - you can do so by clicking here.

Here is a synopsis of House of Wolves if you are new to my journal:

Enveloped by the native spirits of the Pacific Northwest, Roy Wallace and David Moreau’s newfound relationship begins. David soon introduces Roy to the House of Wolves, a community of gay men where honor, companionship, spirituality, erotic desire and brotherhood guide the way. Each man living in the house represents a totem from the spirit world, and each one has committed himself to finding a unique path in life.

Having lost their visionary founder to AIDS, the household has been faltering and losing faith in the dreams that brought them together. Energized by his new relationship with Roy, David takes the final steps for the brotherhood to grieve for the past while striving for an incredible new future. The men of the House of Wolves soon come to realize that this new future demands sacrifice and strength.

Mystical spirits wait down forest paths as the rituals and traditions of the household are revealed. Everyone--the living and dead--are forced to confront their fears and their faith in order to embrace the extraordinary in their lives.

Been there, bought that. (And yes, I've even started reading. I'm just terribly, terribly slow.)

What I really want is an author's autograph in my copy.

Has your copy arrived? after our discussion today of Haida art - - you'll find the thread of Salish/Haida legends in the novel pretty interesting.

Yes! A few days ago. I'm in the middle of a Chaim Potok novel now, then yours is the next one in the stack. I plan to start it this weekend. I'm excited!

it's most definately written in "my" voice --- particularly chapter 1. I wrote chapter one as a short story and worked it over and over and over. then when I showed it to friends - they insisted that I keep the story going - and that's how HOUSE OF WOLVES happened. I'm so very glad it's in your home - as I think it's a story both of you will appreciate. I get a nice warm feeling imagining you reading it to one another each night before bed. (and forgiving the occasional spelling error that comes with reading a freshman novel...)

I have not, yet. I'm a bit overwhelmed with writing a grant and preparing to give grand rounds in a few weeks, but your book is sitting invitingly on the table next to my reading chair.
