Miss Kate Knows Best....

This morning the 5:15am alarm went off - I clicked it off and went to move and miss kate let out this little growl. Not a mean one - mind you - but a "Daddy - I'm warm - I'm snuggled - lets sleep in a little more?" kinda growl. and when I relaxed back onto the pillow she rolled in next to me and licked my face as if to say "thank you. now go back to sleep will you?" - so we got up at 615am and headed to Crissy Field for walkies. Waiting at the coffeehouse was one of Miss Kate's favorite pals - Junior the Rotwieller and her owner Larry. I got Larry a big drip coffee - and me a skinny cinnamon mocha. Then Miss Kate and I were off! Presunrise Crissy Field is a pretty magical place - it almost glows. and we sat there with our morning coffee as the sun rose over the city and the golden gate. We had a good 45 minute exploration before we headed back here for her to have breakfast - and me to get ready for work. Miss Kate was right - we got a few more minutes sleep - AND - we got to witness a beautiful sunrise right here in our own backyard. Yay!

that was so hysterical - they were doing the happy dance and cuddling then I broke out the camera and they both stopped and posed. It's an incredibly authentic photo!

I gave up going to the gym - instead we slept an hour - and that felt nice. then an hour out and about - then the 835 train to work. :) and at my desk sipping decaf by 9am

I wish I had the luxury of extra time in bed... I get up @ 6:30am, & out the door @ 8am to be @ work by 8:30... But if I had someone in bed next to me, I would definitely be hitting the snooze button too!!! I see how Miss Kate rules the wake up time in your household, I love it!!!!
