I shared my cooking show where I made Shepard's Pie with my Mom with [livejournal.com profile] gorkabear today - and I took a while and sat and watch all of the episodes. My - they make quite the time capsule. From the first video in fall 2005 to the latest - my life has transformed - and it's all there to see on video. My new condo in Boise, my brief stay with Rick, the healthier/buffier me :) (buffier a technical term, of course) anyhow....
there is so many sides of me shown in these videos. :)

#1 - Parmesan Cashew Encrusted Chicken

An embarrassing lean over filling the wide-screen with my fat butt. Eek. first show - but one of my all time favorite recipes.

#2 - Easy Weeknight Meatloaf

another great recipe - and I'm starting to research and give tips like the English muffin in the food processor trick for great uniform breadcrumbs

#3 - Easy Citrus Tuna Salad

this is the first one where I didn't do every single step - the chopping and prepping of the fruit I did before filming. Nothing more boring than seeing a chubby white boy chop fruit. But - another recipe I make regularly.

#4 - Rosemary Peach Lemonade

This video was viewed nearly 1000 times! It's so easy - and it's really yummy. I'd started working out - and braved wearing a tank top. but good lord I talk lot!

#5 - The Arapahoe Acres Special: The Denver Kitchen with Joe and Brett

This is one of the most fun episodes - in Denver with Joe [livejournal.com profile] joebehrsandiego and Brett [livejournal.com profile] septimuswarren. It was SOOOO much fun - and our meal was amazing. Brett is hysterical - rendering both Joe and I laughing most of the episode.

#6 - Burritos with Green Chile Sauce

This was probably my most overambitious recipe - taking way way way too many steps. but still? Major yummyness. the crockpot cooking of the chicken is something I'll cook at least once a month. it's easy - and it's SERIOUS food!

#7 - Double Chocolate Croissant Bread Pudding

It's not mistake that the day AFTER I filmed this in Rick's kitchen? I went on Weight Watchers. LOL! I look like the hindenburg blimp in that powderpuff blue shirt - what was I thinking?! but - this recipe is a hands down winner (in moderation)

#8 - Shepards Pie with Mom in Oregon

After years of not connecting with my Mom - we had a little reunion - which included this Shepard's pie special from the Oregon Coast.

#9 - Savory Eggs and Corned Beef Hashbrowns

I had totally forgotten this one entirely! One Major yummy recipe. another one thats a bit of work but OH SO WORTH IT. This was my last episode in Rick's kitchen.

#10 - Seafood Trio (Salami Salmon Crisps, Shrimp Butternut Squash Soup, Open Faced Tuna Avocado Sandwich

Three simple episodes. the tuna sandwich is another recipe that I totally make all the time.

#11 - Steak and Eggs with Angus

Angus [livejournal.com profile] eireangus came along on a shopping expedition to the Embarcadero Farmer's Market. It was a LOT of fun. And - the weight watchers/gym workouts are really starting to show.

#12 - Two Easy Brunch Sides

Filmed in Palm Springs with my cousin - a great kitchen. The asparagus salad is simply amazing - and the garlic rosemary potatoes? are always easy!

#13 - Seared Ahi, Jicama Strawberry Salad, and Lemongrass Sorbet

Seared ahi is a favorite meal - I can't believe it took thirteen episodes to get to it. The Jicama/Strawberry/Pear salad is super yummy. :) and the lemongrass sorbet really works!

#14 - was the dark comedy episode - where I pretended to be hungover and made Poptarts for breakfast. I took it down because everyone thought it was for real. (giggle) I should repost it sometime with some clear warnings that it was all a big joke.

#15 - Vodka Tomato Pasta

This is by far the easiest - yet tastiest recipe in the entire set. It can be done on any weeknight after work - and is a GREAT impressyourdatetm meal. It's a snap!

and the latest - #16 - PotRoast with Mango and Mushrooms

This recipe is actually was my least popular - I got several YouTube subcriber emails and LJ comments that went "oh bob? not so much?!"

While fun to make - its not for everyone's palate. I am a mango-freak - but I got the overwhelming comments on this episode - "I would never put Mango with Meat" - oh vell.

So here is where YOU - my LJ friends come in to play.

I'd like to hear your favorite recipes - even if they are Emeril's. :) What would you like to see me make on Bob's Kitchen? [livejournal.com profile] nudewoody has suggested a Pizza Episode. What would you like to see? (no, [livejournal.com profile] bukephalus, sex is not a recipe and that belongs on Xtube, not Youtube) Hit me with your favorites - and who knows it could be the next Bob's Kitchen!

Thanks for posting those great clips. You know, you sound quite different from what I imagined, although I have no idea how I actually expected you to sound.

Do you have a good eggplant Parmesan recipe? It's an old favorite of mine and I have a quick and dirty way of making it but I'm always interested in how others make it.

You know, Boston Market has a commercial on for their new Chipotle Meatloaf. No, I ain't going to go there to try it, but I think it's a nice twist on old fashioned comfort food.

Robert - Thank you for putting these up for easy reference. The one in my Denver pad still reduces me to hysterics. :)

Eclair Cake

One of the favorite recipes we have in our family is Chocolate Eclair Cake.

It requires 12 oz tub of Coolwhip mixed with 1 large box of Vanilla instant pudding (made up with the pie filling)

You layer the bottom of a 13 x9 cake pan with graham crackers then pour the cool whip pudding on top. You keep layering until you use all your pudding and finish with a final layer of graham crackers. You then pour a chocale sauce over the top of the graham crackers which thickens.

The chocolate sauce consists of 1/3 cup of cocoa, 1/2 cup margarine, 1 cup of sugar and a 1/4 cup of milk. Bring all ingredients to a slow boil constantly stirring to get an even consistency. After it boils for about 2 seconds, pour over graham crackers.

What!? Are you suggesting I have a one-track ... Oh DAMN, I'm getting lube on the keyboard again!

Okay, fine! No requests for polish sausage from me. No hot cross buns. No hide the pig in the blanket. Hmph!

Seriously, though, I love slow cooker recipes. And fast recipes. Anything that is low fat, high protein, low-carb, and quick and easy! Yeah, that's the ticket.

On a nostalgic note, I remember the first time I saw one of your videos. It totally made you come alive for me as a person -- a sexy, funny, warm, interesting person. LJ brought us together, but YouTube made it more real.

I know something called "parmigiana", which is a sort of "lasagna" made with eggplant layers and several vegetables. Is that what you're looking for?

Wow, I had you on LJ for ages and I didn't know you had a FULL set of recipes!!!!!!

But how different is cooking in the US :) heheeheheh

You really got me into making a video. I have to see which one. My buddy David has a video cam and a Mac, which is guarantee to edit videos without much pain (I'm a doomed Windows user)
