perhaps....
I got this email from my friend who is the playright of the play I read last night who was present at the audition:
so - Yay!3
Robert, you auditioned well. You were especially good as the "straighter" newscaster. You read 3 times, I believe, and I had you with 2 stars and a checkmark. But the competition last night was intense. Turns out that most of the people auditioning had been in NCT shows before and were invited back. They had an advantage of being a bit more relaxed.
Ultimately, it became a question of who would look better next to whom. About 3 people just didn't audition that well, and their names were set aside (no, you were not one of those 3). Since roles had already been offered to 2 actors from a previous audition, we needed actors who would work best with them. It was about 9:15pm when I finally left Michael M. and Katelyn to the task. With all those roles, it was a real juggling game. Am not sure who they decided on. They'll try to notify yay or nay by Saturday.
so - Yay!3

But it just goes to show that you can never tell. Auditions that I thought I aced didn't lead to a job and authors that I thought I bombed completely got me hired.
If it doesn't come through, at least know you've been noticed.

One of my instructors said this term that the word "but" invalidates everything that comes before it. I have since tried to edit "but" out of my vocabulary.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, hon. Good luck!
