slumber party!

spent a wonderful evening last night with my friend David - I cooked a wonderful Shepard's Pie (recipe ideas brought to you by gorkabear) with carrots and celery, lean ground lamb, fresh rosemary and marjoram - and the crust was made of Feta Mashed Potatoes. I made mashers then melted a 1/2 cup of crumbled feta in along with some old man spread. David brought a delicious sparkling wine (bless his little heart) and we settled in for cuddles on the couch with Miss Kate, and a favorite comedy, Galaxy Quest. I love Netflixing that moving every few months - it's just brilliantly pulled off. Then David and I broke out the palmolive and soaked in it and had a slumber party and talked about boys. Then I took him to 'The Grind' for breakfast where he asked the waiter to take our picture. (honestly - it was HIS idea.) and then he said to me as he was leaving this morning. "Please email me the picture when you post it to your blog." :) such a nice man. (swoon)

ya know - he is simply adorable. but one doesn't guage too much off a first date. but he's invited me down south bay to tour the Rodin Sculpture at Stanford next weekend. Miss Kate has been invited along. :) I think he's really very nice. He was very sweet, incredibly smart, and honest. All things that could make it romantic interest. Time will tell.

she loved him - although we did get the "why do I have to sleep on the floor" sulk - and the popping up on the side of the bed at 5am, licking his face asking to go out. LOL. He was good natured about her waking him up in such a fashion. (giggle)
