nightmare on waller street
Apr. 29th, 2008 05:19 amAbout 4am I woke up sweating and shaking from a nightmare. Part of the problem with having a creative/active mind - is thatit works in really intense ways sometimes.
Ugh! I was driving the Mini down a stretch of freeway and i turned a corner and a wall of water was coming down the highway towards me. I tried to pull up on the bank on the side of the freeway - but the current turned the car sideways and I was swept away. The dream literally lasted long enough for me to realize I was drowning. I can remember hearing the metal in the car bend and tear as the car got pushed up against and then tumbled with heavy debris underwater.
I used to be prone to nightmares like this a lot before I learned to meditate and channel some of that energy off before bed at night. but omg - this terror in my subconscious seemed so real. It took me a good 20 minutes to stop replaying it - and calm down when I woke up.
At least - on the brightside - I'm up in time for the gym. lol!
