Miss Kate's Uncle Tony joined us this morning on the adventure - he was at the coffee shop when we arrived - and decided to come along to Bernal Heights..... and at one point we ended up singing "Agony!" from Into The Woods together....

Agony!
Beyond power of speech,
When the one thing you want
Is the only thing out of your reach.

Tony is auditioning for the show at Theater by the Bay and is trying to convince me to audition for Cinderellas Prince/The Wolf. Anyway - singing makes Miss Kate dance and circle A LOT - she loves singing. So with two of us going at it - she was in puppy heaven.

Then a pair of lesbians came across Tony and I singing Sondheim to Miss Kate and proclaimed outloud that the scene powerfully and suddenly redefined being gay in San Francisco for them. LOL! A very funny moment - one moment it felt like we had the whole park to ourselves - and then - lesbians and their pugs - and a suddenly Gay40000 moment was born.

Everytime I see the words "Uncle Tony" I think back to my first sexscapade when I was 13.

Ah yes, reminds me of when Hibiscus and friends would climb into the trees in Golden Gate Park and sing show tunes.

I love that Miss Kate likes singing.

Our family dog used to sing along whenever I played the piano (the group-howling instinct, no doubt).

I SO want to do "A Little Night Music" with an all male cast. I'd probably be "Petra" who would be renamed Peter?

I shall marry the miller's son... Pin my hat on a nice piece of property... INDEED!!!!!!

I sing late at night in the barn (fantastic accoustics) when I'm grooming my horses or cleaning stalls. All the horses stick their heads out their stalls to listen. Even a grumpy old gelding I've nicknamed "Stink-eye" will put his ears forward to listen. Animals make for a good audience.

Ha! As if the lesbians and their [snigger] pugs aren't stereotypically gay themselves! Whee!!!!

You a sterotype, never! You are just your cute lovable shelf.

I LOVE "Agony"! It is a fantastic song! I now only wish I could sing too so I don't hurt the ones I love.

Keep belting out the tunes and the Katie love!

It is good to hear there will be a performance of Into the Woods soon in SF... when will it be? I really enjoy both of the prince songs (oh, an all of the other songs, too).
