so straight from work I headed over to the theater. My callback audition went even better than the first one - they are going to call THursday or Friday with casting decisions. The guy they had me read with that 'might' play my partner - is friggin' gorgeous. in a bearish 50s pattern balding sorta way. (giggle)

on another nice note - my elderly neighbor who complained about Kate's barking when we first moved in knocked to make sure I was still here. She had assumed I was taking Miss Kate to work and thanked me for having such a nice dog. That makes me real happy - because Kate is the sweetest - and I didn't want a neighbor looking down on her.

Now to walk Miss Kate and settle in for the evening. Tomorrow morning is Kateydog Adventure Wednesday - - so I'm pondering where and how. I love Kateydog - she's finally started to settle into the new place nicely. woof! Wag! etc.

Congrats on the callback! If your "partner" is as friggin' gorgeous as you say, I may have a talk with the playright to see if he can swing any weight in the casting decisions. Oh, and for you too! Of course for you too! : )

Glad that Miss Kate is settling in nicely and that life in the penthouse is coming together.

LOL - funny you should mention that. it is a small world. His name is Leo Lawfman? Who - is apparently an ex boyfriend of your Joe - whom David (my boyfriend) introduced to the playwright (Tom Kelly, who introduced David and I) at David's housewarming party in Palo Alto 9 years ago. Tangled Web!

It's called "FRIENDS ARE FOREVER" - it opens the last weekend in August and runs through September at New Contemporary Theater. I have not received the "official" call yet - but Tom emailed last night to Leo and I and told us we'd been cast in his play. (so no big LJ post and screaming yay-fit^tm till I hear officially from the theatre. but. YAY!³

Tom (you might recall) I tried dating last winter. Sweet guy. and Leo - is just lovely. I'm so excited I could spit - to be back in theater. and in such a fun worldpremiere sorta play! Yay!³
