neatloaf and other topics.....
Jun. 5th, 2008 01:44 pmI had lunch with Jeff (
beg1n) and Phil (
philbutrin) at the local vegetarian restaurant ANANDA FUARA at Post and Market. SERIOUS yummy food. Phil had their famous neatloaf (an egg, rice and tofu fritta grilled and served like meatloaf), Jeff had the portobello wrap and I had their eggplant parmesan sandwich.
I'd never met Phil - and I have perma-beard-envy. How come red bears get all the thick luscious beardness? Besides being adorable (duh!) he's also obviously very bright and a lot of fun to hang out with. I now know why Jeff loved having him as a roomy and as a lifelong friend.
I love all the food options that SF provides and as Ananda Fuara's website says "the road to enlightened eating goes through Ananda Fuara."
David and I started using the term boyfriend recently. :) yay!3
I went to stop by Macy's for a myboyfrienddeservesalittlegiftytm run and got sidetracked by what a beautiful sunshiny day it was and ended up just walking back to the office.
I need to hook Phil up with the career counselor Robbie and Fish hooked me up with (Robbie! what is Suzanne's last name?).
I am making steak for a buddy for dinner tonight - then the ultimate chicken burrito for David and my theater pal Tony tomorrow night. Then it's the June Fine Food Frenzy Group outing to Brick on Sunday evening. Whats not to like about a weekend with the boyfriend filled with good food!
oh - and I got the theater part I auditioned for!
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!
I will be appearing as "Roger" in the September production of New Contemporary Theater's play Friends Are Forever by local playwright Tom Kelly. It runs Wed-Sun - August 28th to September 28th.
I could not be more excited!
To make my stage debut in SF with such a quality group in such a outright gay play is so damned exciting. and it's a paid gig on top of it. YAY!3
I have missed REAL theater so much since moving to San Francisco - and to score this gig feels SO very good. I can't wait!
