I love that particular play. Great fun, everybody winds up happy and nobody is dead at the end.

I know it well and own it on DVD. I bought it a couple of years ago when the first class I took upon my return to school was a Shakespeare class. We read five plays and I tried to snag decent film versions to watch before reading each play.

Great cast all around, I thought. I especially liked Kevin Kline as Bottom.

As film versions go, I also very much like Ian McKellan's take on Richard III and the version of Merchant of Venice with Al Pacino.

the Merchant of Venice is my favorite Shakespeare film. Jeremy Irons is beautiful in that production.
