Tonight - I cooked dinner for Leo - the chap playing my boyfriend in the play coming up. He brought a lovely feta, craisin (!), mixed greens salad... and I made an unexpectedly yummy dish.

I had some left over brown rice, some left over papaya/mango/onion salsa, and some chicken breast. So I put them all together in tortillas with an orange sauce and wowsers!

It was a Summer Enchilada!

I melted jack cheese over it in the broiler and the tortillas crisped up golden brown! wow - it was wonderful.

Leo also brought over a bottle of wine (which I had too much of, **sips**) and we told each other our stories - we have lots in common. He also told me that he credits David (my boyfriend) with "changing his life in dramatic ways" by introducing him to Tom Kelly - who wrote the play that we're both in - coming on 10 years ago. He says that Tom along with another collaborator cast Leo in some of the most "magical plays imaginable" - and really does credit David with bringing on a "life altering moment." It was lovely sharing my home with my new friend whom I'll be 'stage boyfriends' with until the end of September. We ran our lines and talked about our characters - I think we're going to have a ball being the overthetop gushy pair that will either make people go "awwwww, how cute" or "bleh! stop it! omg!". Either way - our job will be complete. :) ;)

I think Leo and I are going to be fast friends. His story is full of people I respect and adore. :) so how can that be bad?

Off to walk Miss Kate and hum "Hot Fun In The Summertime".........

I knew craisins would once again take a prominent place in your story eventually.

they are obviously a building block that keeps returning --- but what are the craisins trying to tell me?

I swear, I think you can wrap just about anything in a tortilla and it is ***fabulous***. Seems like no matter what I have left over in the fridge, if I wrap it in a tortilla it's totally the yum.
