Laura Bush was nauseating - her husband was simply foul. I really tried to listen to their speeches as attentively as I did the speeches at the Democratic National Convention. Bush was stiff and clearly reading his teleprompter and doing his duty. It was weird to see Bush praise someone who he gladly destroyed his entire political career. He talked GOP talking points. (and someone needs to tazer the man near the microphone who's going "yeeeeeee-hah" whenever they pause for applause.) What a friggin' fuck-ass to invoke 9-11 - - like he's done a goddamn thing. Osama Bin Laden is still at large. We're in our 5th year in Iraq. Bush is an international embarrassment- it's hard to watch a party dedicate an evening to one of the worst presidents in the modern era. It's simply embarrassing.

I wonder if listening Fred Thompson's speech and Joe FuckwadLoserhead Lieberman's speeches will be listenable.

7:00pm: Okay - the reference that Ronald Reagan started as a sportcaster - and now we have Sarah Palin. Palin is no Reagan. The reference is just nauseating.

730pm: Fred Thompson's speech was MUCH better. Now - do I have respect for the time McCain spent in a POW camp during Vietnam - you bet I do! (having served in the US Military myself) but characterizing those events to be the reason why he should be the next president? thats a stretch. There is a reason Thompson is back in Hollywood - he's a fantastic actor and speaker - but a lousy politician. I'm glad John McCain survived Vietnam - just like thousands of other men who are permanently scared by Vietnam they deserve our respect and gratitude. It's the 22 years in the U.S. Senate representing and teaming up with the most conservative ideas in America - that make voting for John McCain unconscionable. He's scarier than Bush - Bush - is one of the slowest minds in White House history. McCain? Is smart - and impulsive - and prone to anger and negativity. The last thing American needs right now is a SMART neo-conservative in the White House surrounded by smart neoconservatives. WE all see what we got here and abroad with an idiot in the White House surrounded by tactical, razor pointed political advisors. The thought of a McCain White House is FAR scarier than anything GWB could have developed.

745pm - I couldn't listen to Lieberman - he makes me so damned angry. He's a political opportunist - and a traitor to his party. Hearing him damn Obama at the RNC - is the end of his political power in Washington. He'll lose everything if McCain loses. What a little fucker. I hope he gets scuttled in January.

Thanks for the re-cap. I couldn't stay attentive either. Instead, I got to flip over to TVW and listen to Chris(tine) Gregoire talk state politics.

I am watching streaming on the net since I don't have cable.... but I simply can't take it any longer. It's like NONE of these people have had to endure the last eight years.

I made it thru the whole night, but I'll be honest, I was surfing on the side.

All the white hatred was blinding.

I think I'll skip watching that tragedy (RNC). I always end up feeling really angry and hopeless. Yea. I'll just skip it this time. I already know who I'll vote for, and I know I'll have to accept the outcome of the election. (fingers crossed)

Wasn't Joe Lieberman the guy the Republicans called "LOSERMAN" when he was Al Gore's running mate, and the Supreme Court awarded the election to Bush? Now this same Lieberman/Loserman is sucking up to the G.O.P. like his political life depended on it. Wotta sacka shit.

Oh, Bob. You never have an opinion about anything. Now, come on -- tell us what you really think!
