all-nighters...
Sep. 5th, 2008 01:38 pmYesterday was a new experience - the webmaster for our Entercom stations in New Orleans - was having trouble connecting because of all the infrastructure mess going on post-Gustav -- and their station has won multiple awards for their 24 hour information. (WWL in New Orleans) So - after the play last night - I played webmaster for their station from 11pm to 5am. It was really odd changing another station's information - and sorta winging how it's done. (every coder has his own idiosyncrasies....) It was weird- sitting there with a juice in my nightshirt - updating the site every hour overnight. I am sooooooooooooo not a night owl. I'm in the office for a few minutes this afternoon to finish up a KDFC project (http://sales.kdfc.com) and then I'm home to sleep a bit before the show tonight at the theater. I received a very nice email from our VP of Digital Operations - cc'ing my boss - that complimented my flexibility - and how he'd "googled" me and "good luck with my show tonight." (giggle) I love working in the webz!
David is coming up tonight from Palo Alto - and I can't wait to sleep all velcroed in tight around him. Yay!3
