You are embarrassing yourself.... this morning on MSNBC when you were challenged about the outright lies and negativity of your campaign - you said on live video: ""I'll leave that for the American people to decide. I still say to you, and I know you are a supporter of Senator Obama, if you would urge him to come and do town all meetings with me as I have asked him to do time after time the whole tenor of the campaign would change."

So what I hear you saying is - because you aren't getting your McGimmick - you have no choice but to run the most negative, blantantly untruthful campaign in modern times? Is that what I'm hearing?

You need to get over it. and it makes you look like an idiot to keep repeating this town hall horsecrap. You said it on The View last week - and look where that got you.

I don't want to hear any more whining about town hall meetings... they aren't going to happen!

and to use that as an excuse for your Rove-style campaign - is laughable.

and while I'm talking to you, Senator "Straight Talk Express" McCain - it's hard for me to take your campaign seriously about the economy when one of your spokespeople is Carly Fioriana - who received a $21 million dollar golden parachute when she made a total mess of Hewlett Packard. Is that the sort of parachute Sarah Palin was stumpspeeching about yesterday? I'm embarrassed for you. Between her and Phil Gramm, Senator - I'd say you are talking to the wrong people on the economy. I once sat in on a company conference call while Ms. F was the CEO at HP - when an employee wondered if he was going to be able to buy christmas gifts for his family - she said that she empathized because she had to wait to install the redwood floors in her new giganto-mansion until after the merger. No shit - on a company wide call. Great advisors you keep company with.

Yesterday - "the fundamentals of the economy are strong" - today to Today on NBC? "we're in crisis". Talking with Matt Lauer this morning - you looked tired. Did you wake up at 3am like I did - worrying about Sarah Palin in the VP's office.

Your choices - your words - your campaign - are waking me up in the early hours of the morning - WORRIED and SCARED for America - that the likes of you is even being considered.

I'd say the only crisis is your ethics, your honor and your campaign. It's disgusting and turning into a international embarrassment.

Are you a ghost writer for Keith Olberman? :-)

My fear is that the Rove tactics WORK with so many Americans. They are not interested in the truth - they want a lie that will bolster their prejudice - which is truly at the heart of the reason many are not willing to line up behind Obama. Nothing else makes sense in a country where the incumbent, also a Republican, has the lowest rating in history. Who in their right mind would want four more years of failed policies?

For once I feel a twinge of optimism - I think the backlash against his campaign is growing and I think he's doing himself more harm than good right now. So, in a perverse way, I'd say - keep digging that hole Johnny-boy!

I watched Palin's interview with Charlie Gibson on ABC. How could anyone watch that and believe that this person has got the experience, the comprehension, the background to be in any kind of executive branch office? I don't say that b/c of her politics -- I would say the same about the most left-wing person who clearly had been crammed with a list of "talking points" and "buzz words" -- "That's how I'm WIRED?" Did she actually say that phrase and word until even she seemed to understand how stupid it sounded? -- how could anyone watch that interview and have any faith at all in the system? I'm downright depressed. I'm looking forward to going back to New Zealand, too. It's a campaign season there, but Labour and National talk about real issues; the media-frenzy spin of the politics of personality just doesn't exist. I worry about this country, though, I really do...

I thought maybe I'd lost my mind last night at the gym when I saw that CF was one of his advisors. Thank you for confirming, that I haven't lost my sanity yet. Way to nail it on the head again.

Laid it all out well.

I couldn't have said it better myself if I tried.
