David and I arrived no worse for wear this evening in Milwaukee... the flight east was wonderful. David (giggle) brought a book of math theory and I brought my PSP and I played BURNOUT for four hours. LOL! We arrived in Chicago and got on the bus to Milwaukee pulled on the Illinois Turnpike outside the airport and then sat in bumper to bumper traffic for two hours - arriving in Mtown around 8pm. David's sister Laurie cooked a lovely beef briskett and lemon potatoes. Laurie's son Guirsh - - chatted with David about computers over dinner and ran off to a buddy's for the night. So David and Laurie are going through old family photos and laughing. (David made me agree not to "gang up" on him while we're here) Not too many pictures - - but tomorrow plans a walk along Lake Michigan, the Milwaukee Harley Davidson Museum and more food. Yay!3 I love being on vacation with my boyfriend so very much. More later :) with pictures!!!

I grew up with Carry and Amy Davidson...we rode Saddlebred horses at the same farm in Hartland, WI: Oakwood Farms. They had a horse named Cherokee Star and I think his barn name was Ralph. And believe it or not,I have never toured the HarleyDavidson museum myself.

Funny, the things you remember.

I grew up in a Milwaukee suburb: Brookfield, went to school with [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] younger sister, Linda... I'm hoping to make a trip there in spring to visit the folks and develop a major crush on Bruce (so don't tell him, eh?)

Train trip? I guess it is on the way back. Are you taking the Zephyr? We've done it twice and the trip west of Denver and then the next day in the Sierras is just gorgeous. Best train trip we've taken. Maybe we'll take it eastbound next April.

David with math theory and you with your PSP. I am sure you both had the same level of entertainment. I did not get a chance to say good bye before your departure, but I do wish that you two have a great time together. Smooches

I've always enjoyed playing Milwaukee! It's got some lovely neighborhoods and areas where factories have been turned into artists' lofts. It also has a lot of theare and is so close to Chicago. Enjoy! Enjoy!

HUGS!

It is very fun seeing him to do math books - as he lets out this little satisfied giggle when he solves a problem. LOL! Like a school boy writing a dirty note or something. it's so damned adorable!
