So - tonight I made it down to Sundance early enough to learn the line dance - The Bombshell Stomp. The instructor was wonderful - even telling us about "wizard steps" - which are the steps the quartet in the Wizard of Oz do on the yellow brick road. It is less crowded on Thursdays which I prefer. You can actually get in a couple of dances with folks and get to know them a little. Then we got to do the line dance up to speed with everyone there - and Dave and I lined up together and wizard stepped our way through. It was so much fun. We shadow danced, danced some swing and waltzed. I am glad Dave pushed me to go to Sundance - it is a lot of fun.

I came back to the house and Miss Kate took our pre-bed stroll around city hall - and came upstairs for a biscuit for her and a glass of port for me. I'm checking messages, checking in on websites (for work and fun) and then I'm headed to bed.

Taking the Mini in for service tomorrow - my windshield washing system is possessed - it's spraying OVER and AROUND the car. LOL - I hit the washers - and more gets on the car next to me than on my windshield. I also have a headlight out - which I got a fixit ticket for the other day. so - it'll be a trip to the dealer to get that all fixed up - and the adorable Steve Carrabis is my guy down there - he always takes great care of me. Always good to work with someone who loves their work.

Then Dave is working late tomorrow night - so I'm going to hit the gym - then hit the Safeway and go grocery shopping - and then the big protest nationwide on Saturday morning - then we're having our friends David and Bob (yes you heard right) over for dinner and then we'll all head out to the Bond movie - prolly at the 100 VanNess theater. THen Sunday night is the Fine Food Frenzy #7 at Wayo Susho - so its going to be an action packed weekend. The temperatures are supposed to be in the low 80s - so it'll be great to be outside. :) and of course, anything with Dr. Dave - will be a fun romantic time.

Good luck, fellow protester guy! If you have a march try and talk the crowd into doing wizard step.

You know, I probably should mention that if you're going to be out of the house for long periods of time, you might want to investigate "training pads" for Miss Kate.

I know she's housebroken. Just "in case of emergency".

Remember, you can find most of the line dances on YouTube. That was one of the dances from last year I wanted to learn (I couldn't get to EVERY workshop), but never got it up to the top of the 'must do' list before I stopped teaching a couple months ago.

And I think you'll find it spelled Bomshell Stomp, but I'm not sure...

Steve Carrabis? I heard he'd moved from Boston to SF... good to know he's putting his Mini skills to good use. Among other things, he was my barber for a while (one of his other passions).

Bless your heart...I saw that avatar and IMMEDIATELY thought of the Muppet version of "I put the lime in the coconut and drank it all up"

DAMN YOU ALL TO HELL!!!
(not really).

I want a video of you skipping like Dorothy down the yellow brick road. I'm sure Miss Katie will happily play the role of Toto.

If you're Dorothy, which character is your sweetie? I always thought the tinman was kind of hot in a hardbody sort of way.

Ok question.....I was at Woody's in Philly the other weekend and they did a line dance, there were three rows, and they were each like a second interval behind the other, and each section ended with clap clap stomp stomp. Does Dave know what it is?

Each row was a second behind the other? Dang.....grrrrrrrrr. Been trying to find it on Youtube, but no clue. I'm actually going to try and teach my 10 year old niece and her friends the Saddle Up Shawty tomorrow for her birthday.
