So this morning on the way back from breakfast - David and I bought a Christmas Tree for the Muffin Penthouse. Now - for a Jew not all that interested in Christmas - he had serious opinions about a Christmas tree. (laughing) We went with a red theme for the tree - and I unpacked and put up my teddy bear Christmas ornaments - and some lovely ornaments from the store. This is the first Christmas Tree since I left Jon in Boise in 2004. I'm very happy with it - and planning the decorations and stringing the lights was very romantic (even David agrees with that one!) Now to surprise David on Christmas morning with his first ever monogrammed Christmas stocking... (full of lots of great stuff!)

One of my other LJ friends was saying that Martha Stewart's Rule of Thumb for Tree Lights is 100 lights per foot of tree...

That's a very sweet (and manageable) treelet. I suppose we should make some effort to pull some Christmas deco out and put it...somewhere. Maybe next weekend.

We're usually completely decorated the days after Thanksgiving!

My tree can totally beat up your tree.

But yours is real, so you win. Can't beat that evergreen fragrance.

I have a Jewish friend who always celebrates Christmas. His family always reminded everyone that Christmas was a commercial holiday, not a religious one. You can try that line on David.
