Prosuitto twists with goat cheese, shredded radicchio and fresh roma tomatoes

We both agreed this recipe would be lots better with spinach - and that we can safely pass on the radicchio next time. Now we're settling down to watch the movie 'TRAFFIC'.

it was lovely - radicchio (sp?) was another new thing in my "fresh box" - I think I'm safely a hearts of romaine salad guy - bitter lettuce didn't score high on the flavorgasm meter.

Radicchio is so pretty -- I've always wished that I liked the way it tastes. I suppose cooking it would reduce the bitterness, but perhaps not enough.

Yogurt makes an acceptable substitute for cream in some recipes. But then I hardly need to tell you that.

nope soaked in butter and garlic it still tasted like bitter lettuce. oh well - you only learn these things by trying right?

David is simply antiwhite sauce period. He won't eat New England Clam Chowder - he likes the tomatoey clam chowder instead. Alfredo is one of three things on the "nope, won't eat it" list - the others are banana and coconut. Onions apparently are on probation.
