Christmas Tree Lane, Palo Alto, CA.
We're putting dishes away after dinner and David lights up suddenly and exclaims 'OH my god - Christmas Tree Lane!' suddenly and with no context. Apparently a street in Palo Alto is all done up in lights - and well - apparently David almost committed a mortal sin against the holiday by not taking us there. He got very excitable... putting Miss Kate into a circle dancing dirvish of excitement. LOL! So - very quickly we had Miss Kate gussied up - and off we went. it was charming - right out of the 50s - with each house done up in obviously kid designed ideas - with the trees along the street done up in matching lights. There was everything from caroling smurfs to a single star put at the top of a prolly 100 foot high tree. It was very adorable - and of course, I loved it. So there is a nice cap to a great day with Dave - strolling hand in hand - with Miss Kate - down Christmas Tree Lane.
