it was a good "welcome home honey" meal all the way around. The salad is a personal favorite - and is so flavorful and yummy. and the cake? well - I need to learn to make a cake better. This one was dry on the edges and a little gooey in the middle after it cooled. (sigh) but - if you cut it just right? it was delicious!! :) LOL
(p.s. I doubt it is anything you are doing. I've found that it is just hard to make a single-layer square that bakes evenly. I tried a heavier pan and a slower over, but still a little too much unevenness. Now, I just use that pan for the Tres Leches, which is truly reason enough!)
