I rolled through a yellow turned red light back in February and got pulled over and ticketed - and I finally got the citation in the mail today for $500. Holy Crap! - and they said I'd be eligible for traffic school for another $70. What is traffic school? to keep the red light off m record? I don't understand. I'm pretty grumpy. NOT what I wanted to come home to tonight.

on another note - Michael Golden (aka [livejournal.com profile] bibliocub) did really well tonight in Supersculpt Class. Personally - while I kept up this week, the class kicked my ass. I know I will be feeling it all over in the morning.

It's currently 82 in my apartment and 78 degrees in San Francisco at 9pm. That's too damn hot for April.

I am liking the short hair - I think I'll keep it for a while.

Writing is coming right along on the new work now that the voices and characters are very clear. I'll prolly be into chapter three by next week. YAY!3 It feels really great to finally have a new set of characters and situations swirling in my head and out onto paper.

Supposedly, anybody can open up a traffic school. There's not much oversight from the state, other than you're supposed to get the "offenders" to talk about how bad they were, and how they're gonna reform themselves.

SO I've been toying with the idea of the Bro Duke School Of Law And Mud. Basic idea, those nasty offenders get paid to come and mudwrestle and learn to relax more while driving.

You never can tell, it might catch on...

Go to traffic school; it'll keep the point off of your record so your car insurance rates won't go through the roof.

There are many traffic schools. It pays to do some research.

I've been to Comedy Traffic School and Finally A Gay (Traffic) School. The Comedy school wasn't bad, but it wasn't as much fun as I thought it should be. The FAGS school, I've been to twice (SF and SJ). It was less painful than the comedy school, but nowhere near the cruisy kicky fun day I'd been hoping for.

Holy crappity crap! $500 for clipping the light?!

Afterwards, he was more of a risk to other drivers behind him, who would have to slam their foot down on the brake pedal and spill their groceries onto the floor of their car, at the first hint that a light before him might change.

Ugh, sorry you had such bad news waiting for you at home...

It has been warm up here too, however not nearly as hot as down there. It is going to be much cooler here today and I hear it will cool down quite a bit down there too.

Yeah, go to traffic school. The insurance companies can't tell the difference between you rolling through yellow-turning-red and doing 70mph through a red in your rice-rocket/blinged-out-Impala/22"-spinners-Escalade so the rate hike can be severe. You can only do traffic school once every 18 months, so be a good boy for the next 18 months.

I did traffic school on-line, it only takes 2-3 hours and you can have a nice glass of wine and listen to music while you're doing it, which feels wrong, in a good way. Remember to save all the pages so you can go back and scan through stuff during the test at the end, because they embed random shit in it to see if you're paying attention.

add me to the "do traffic school it's worth it" crowd. Just make sure it's one that is accepted by whatever jurisdiction you had the infraction. I had to go to court once because the class I took wasn't "accepted" by Santa Clara county even tho it was on their list of traffic schools (grrrrr).

Traffic tickets have a tendency to raise your auto rates. Traffic school is a good idea unless you can fight the ticket. Nolo Press puts out a good book on how to do that.
