In 2000 - I was cast in an all-male cast of Dan Goggin's NUNSENSE. It got all sorts of press - as we performed the show in an actual church in one of the most conservative places in America: Boise Idaho. When NUNSENSE closed - the director Scott Stewart gave me this AMAZING Sister Amnesia action figure.
I played Sister Amnesia - the nun who has well, amnesia - and remembers in the closing scenes she'd been competing in a Country Western Song Contest and a stage light had fallen and hit 'her' in the head. Scott's partner is a drag performer - and fitted me with the MOST outrageous blue sequin tube dress - which (thanks to velcro) made it's appearance in the finale, "I Could've Gone to Nashville."
and lets just put it this way - blue tube dresses are horrible on women - leave alone the topographical map they make on a man. It's one of my most hysterical stunts on stage and a treasured memory. I took this picture for a "Toys" photo challenge here on Livejournal.
