thoreauDave bought a new piece of art for his office today... We went to Novato to meet the artist - mathmetician and artist Harry Benke. After several hours of looking at hundreds of Benke's pieces and photographs - Dave chose this piece, title "totem." "the totem" is composed of ellipsoids ((x^2/a^2)+(y^2/b^2)+(z^2/c^2))=1, ray-trace rendered over an algorithmically generated fractal sky scape. It is beautiful!
