A special edition of the Kateydog adventures this morning! I rolled over about 530 and Miss Kate (in trademark fashion) was awake and staring at me. and the day started with a lickattack and once I was awake - bellyrubs and well - shoot, I was up - lets go for a walk. The sun was just starting to come up - and the fog was up along the hills of Twin Peaks and the Haight. We strolled up into the old neighborhood - and while we were walking the fog just rolled down the hill towards town. It all of a sudden very windy and cold. Katey looked up at me as if to say "what the hell is this? I did not order cold wet wind in July!"

We rushed into the old coffeeshop and grabbed ourselves a soy mocha - then made the U-Turn for home. and just as magically as we walked into downtown the fog retreated back to the hilltop and the bright morning sun came out. Miss Kate loves morning sunshine. She'll stop occasionally and sit and just bask. I've thought perhaps of moving to a morning side apartment (the building here lets you move to an identical apartment when they come open; if you'd like.) But I'm being a bit selfish here - I really love the view we have. (as nice as a view of downtown and the bay might be).

We came home and I gave her some ScoobySnacks - and I headed into the office. Busy day today - but it was great to start things off with some quality goddess time.

They won't have my Mini back to me till Thursday or Friday of next week. (sigh) So I'll be walking to the gym - or workign out in my building.

Can anyone give Jeff ([livejournal.com profile] beg1n) a ride to Gold's Gym next week either in the mornings or some other time in your schedules? He and I are always discussing how good are workouts are for us - and I feel bad that my transportation is down for a week. if you can help - shoot me a message or message Jeff? Much appreciated.

okay - so it hasnt' exactly been weekly - but I'm working on it. This little tripperupper came from [livejournal.com profile] surewood31 who hit me with "With decreasing raw materials and over population, men and women have been banned by the Society for World Preservation from having sex. This has resulted in a completely same-sex oriented society, globally. How does this affect the world's religion, politics and economic status?"

as a refresher - in this post I received 30 ideas in which to frame a 1000 word writing exercise concentrating on conversation and creating a scene without going over the word count.

3/30 - Lunch with the Literati

“With decreasing raw materials and over population, men and women have been banned by the Society for World Preservation from having sex. This has resulted in a completely same-sex oriented society, globally. How does this affect the world's religion, politics and economic status? 1000 words by July 15th. That's it! See you next week," I said finishing my lecture.

I looked up at the lecture hall as the stereotype jock snored in the back seat and the philosophy brown nose trio frantically worked to transcribe my every word rather than take notes.

“Could you repeat the last part, Dr. Cole,” said the bespeckled leader of the brownnose trio with a sparkle in her eye that let me know her ideas about philosophy were extremely work place inappropriate.Read more... )
