"Usually we think that brave people have no fear, the truth is that they are intimate with fear." - Pema Chodron

Title: The Problem We All Live With, Norman Rockwell Archives

This painting is is a portrait of Ruby Bridges on her way to kindergarten in 1963. She is being escorted by U.S. marshals, since none of the local or state officials in New Orleans or Louisiana would provide any protection to this six-year old girl. When I read the Chodron quote this morning it is interesting that this was the first image I thought of and wanted to pair with this post.

well - the techjob went to someone who could start immediately. I just got the phone call. The client that Tekssystems was hiring for chose another canidate simply because I would have to give two weeks notice. They apparently have three or four other positions in the pipeline; and interestingly enough - one other consulting firm contacted me today.

It was a good learning process - and they have great references - etc. and I've basically been greenlighted by my current job to get out and find a new one. so nothing really "lost" here. but its a teensy bit frustrating that my being employed and having to give two weeks notice was the eliminating criteria.

Bliss!
