I'm getting ink.

The orca killer whale.

the red circle in this art - is where my nipple will go in the design.



the artwork is the Haida Orca/KillerWhale - following the legend that it's the "thunderbird of the sea" so the dorsal fin is the face of the Thunderbird.

We'll do a 2 hour session to get the outline done on Tuesday the 18th - and if I can take the discomfort - he says he may go right on and finish. We'll see.

I have several tats and I have to confess that the one on my chest was the only one to hurt like a sonofabitch. Totally worth it, but I had no idea since the others were so easy.

Wow!

My brother is getting a tattoo done today, then again, he has one done almost every week! He is best friends with a tattoo artist and the guy does it for free.

Make sure you post picture of the final product. I would get a tattoo if I could bring myself to do it spiritually. I'm not afraid of the pain at all, but I just don't want to make myself permanently.

Beautiful art and brilliant idea for location! I have always been fascinated by the art and folk stories of that culture. Your drawing reminds me of "Raven Steals the Sun". You'll have to show us the final results when it's done!

I researched Haifa and Tlingit spiritual practice and artwork for my novel (http://www.amazon.com/House-Wolves-Robert-B-McDiarmid/dp/059568162X). It's the spiritual basis for the men in the book.
