sudden memory

Channel flicking this morning I came on a history channel short on the debut of the space shuttle. When I was a kid - I was enamored with the space shuttle. I had a model of the first space shuttle hanging from my ceiling - with the "payload doors" open - and remember so many mornings waking up and daydreaming while watching my own personal little space shuttle turn on it's string.
I've gone from dream to dream - like spending my senior year of high school dreaming of being a forest ranger at the foot of Mt. Rainier - like well... so many dreams. i'm sitting here now in my little living room - daydreaming. watching the sun break through the fog and strike my desk where I've been writing the new work, where I pay bills, and keep going back to my financial "when will I own a home again?" spreadsheets, and my handwritten diary sits leaning against the antique lamp on my desk, wondering what dreams come next. powerful stuff.
